Dr. Deniz Topçu

In 2004, Dr. Deniz TOPCU, who entered the world of law, has done all his post-graduate academic studies on commercial law based on intellectual and industrial property law.

First of all, in his book on Industrial Property Offences, she evaluated the infringements of industrial rights such as trademark-patent-breeders’ rights and the sanctions at the point of turning infringements into crimes.

Again, after various researches, articles and other academic studies in the field of intellectual and industrial property, she worked as a researcher at UCLA (University of California) to examine patent rights, which were rarely discussed in our country in those years; then she published his book on Patent Licence Agreements and completed his doctorate. In this study, she tried to draw attention to issues such as the value of patent rights, the compulsory licence system, and the elements to be taken into consideration in the preparation of patent licence agreements.

After his doctorate, she is still working as a lecturer at various universities.

At the same time, she is involved in all aspects of intellectual and industrial property and tries to bring solutions to the problems in practice by taking part in the sector as well as theoretical studies.

Especially in the holistic management of intellectual and industrial property rights, as a trademark and patent attorney, she has taken part in every stage of the process from the determination of rights to registration, from registration to the end of the protection processes. Likewise, she has managed active processes at the point of protection of rights in a wide variety of cases with the dimension of attorneyship.

On the other hand, she continues his theoretical and practical studies for the development and legal visibility of breeders' rights and patenting of agricultural technologies, which are the invisible face of intellectual and industrial rights, in our country; She continues to provide consultancy to the right holders in these matters from detection to registration, from registration to the world.
